Belly Dance I
|
Learn basic belly dance technique, graceful arms, traveling steps, turns and add in beginner finger cymbals. Then put it all together in a short, fun choreography. You’ll also learn some dance history, music appreciation, and culture. This class is for a first timer to the more experienced Beginner. Unlike the Intro. class, this class will teach basic finger cymabls and sometimes use props like veil and cane. Medium Paced. |

Intro. to Spanish/Latin Fusion!

This beginning level class will teach the fusions of Spanish and Latin dances with belly dance. Learn posturing, hands and arms, basic foot combinations, turns, traveling steps, and basic fan or skirt techniques. You will also learn some history of the dances. Put it all together in a short choreography. No dance experience required! First timer - Beginner level (approximately 0-1year dance experience). Slow Paced. |

Grace and Fluidity I

Learn basic ballet, modern, and jazz dance techniques and moves that belly dancers use. Improve your strength and basic dance technique for any dance form. This is a beginner to intermediate level class. This class will focus on basic posturing, turning, traveling, and arabesques and improving balance. You will also learn the basic techniques for looking graceful and fluid and transitioning smoothly from one thing to the next and exploring weight placement. No dance experience necessary to intermediate. Approximately 0-2 years of any dance experience. |

Shimmy Clinic I
|
This class is a fun, full body workout for all levels. Learn many basic shimmies for belly dance. Everything from hand shimmies to hip shimmies! Whether you’re a beginner who needs to learn the shimmies or an advanced dancer who just wants to improve and maintain your shimmies this is a great class! This class is for the first timer up to any level. This is a slow - medium paced, technique only class. |

This is an Intermediate level class. Learn more Spanish and Latin-belly dance fusion techniques, moves, and combos. Learn more complicated skirt work and fan work, and introduce finger cymbals or castanets. Put it all together in a fun choreography! Intermediate Level- approximately 1-2 years in belly dance, samba, or flamenco dance experience. Medium - Fast Paced. |

Learn Intermediate belly dance technique, moves and combos. This class will mostly focus on layering moves, fluidity/transitions, and explore new more complicated finger cymbal patterns. Sometimes this class will also explore props at an intermediate level, like canes, veils, etc. You’ll also learn some dance history, music appreciation, and culture. Learn ballet, modern, and jazz dance techniques and moves that belly dancers use. Improve your strength and basic dance technique for any dance form. This is an intermediate to advanced level class. This class will focus on improving posturing, many styles of turns and spins, traveling, arabesques, spin combos and layering it all with belly dance moves. We will focus on complicated foot patterns, moving through space/utilizing your stage, fluidity and transitions. Intermediate to advanced level. Approximately 2-3 years of dane experience and upper intermediate - advanced level belly dance experience. |

Shimmy Clinic II
|
You need to be proficient at all of the basic shimmies taught in Shimmy Clinic I, now it’s time to layer! This class is for the Intermediate to Professional level dancer who wants to take their shimmies to the next level. Layer your shimmies with traveling steps, turns, stomach rolls, hip work, and explore stylistic variations of shimmies to give your dance a new flavor or dance in a particular style. Medium - Fast Paced |
Itermediate- Advanced

Belly Dance III |
This class is for the upper intermediate to advanced level dancer. We will focus on more complicated layering, moves, and choreographies and styles. We will explore everything from different props to cabaret and folk dances. You’ll also learn some dance history, music appreciation, and culture.. This class will teach the choreographies that Fringe Benefits International Student Troupe will be performing! You may also receive performance opportunities with the troupe! Fast Paced. |
Advanced

Spanish/Latin Fusion II

This is an advanced level class. In this class you will learn adv.-pro. level choreographies, techniques, combos, and use many different props. This will be a challenging and physically demanding class. This class will teach the choreographies that Fringe Benefits International Student Troupe will be performing! You may also receive performance opportunities with the troupe! Advanced Level only- approximately 3 or more years of belly dance, samba, or flamenco experience needed. Fast Paced. |
Advanced - Professional

Belly Dance IV |
This class is for the advanced to pro dancer that wants to take their solo dancing to the next level. This class will cover choreographing for yourself, improvising, and techniques and visualization to improve your dancing. You will also learn how to build your own set, deal with live music/bands, and performing for different audiences. Be prepared to improv. in class and receive helpful, insightful critiques to help you progress as an artist. You will also get performance opportunities! Fast Paced. |

If you miss a class, make it up anytime during the same session only!

If a class is canceled by the instructor or studio owner you will recieve a cash refund for the price of the one hour class the following week. Every registrant will be required to sign a Waive of Lien Disclaimer at the beginning of the first class of each session. So, please arrive a little early the first day of class.
What to Wear and Dance Class Etiquette:
Barefoot or soft leather soled dance shoes (ballet slippers, dance sandals, paws/foot thongs, dance tennies etc.) Preferrably flat shoes with no, or little heel. No socks, no outside shoes, no tap or flamenco shoes, and no gym shoes.
Wear regular, stretchy workout attire. Leggings/yoga pants, tank tops, sports bras, t-shirts etc. Please no skirts or super baggy swet pants or bathing suits. It is not necessary to show your stomach -that is opptional. Be comfortable.
Please be courteous of people with allergies and do not wear strong perfumes.Please be on time to class - be ready when class starts (in your clothes, dance shoes on etc). If you are late take your place at the back of the class, not in front of someone who is already in class.
Please do not speak when the instructor is speaking. Do not speak in an area where another class is in progress. Do not play finger cymbals while the instructor/students are speaking or in common areas.
Please throw away your trash and respect common areas.
